Madhuri Dixit is the only actress ever to get nominated 14 times for Filmfare. She has received 25 awards for her work till date which also includes the Prestigious Padma Shri (2008) and International Film Festival Award.
She is a goodwill ambassador and benefactress for 'Emeralds for Elephants' – a charity project for conservation of Asian elephants and other endangered species. In 2014, she was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador Advocate for Child and Equal Woman's Rights.
She attended Divine Child High School in Mumbai and Graduated in Microbiology from Parle College, Mumbai.
