Narendra Bansal

Chairman & Managing Director

A first-generation entrepreneur known for his irrefutable business acumen, Narendra Bansal is the founder and CMD of Intex Technologies (India) Ltd.

Narendra Bansal identified the high growth potential of IT hardware in India way back in 1990's at a time when the manufacturing of IT products was a fledgling sector. Keeping India's evolving market scenario in mind, he incorporated Intex Technologies in 1996 with just one product - Ethernet card. With a strong vision and high focus, Narendra Bansal successfully established 'INTEX' as a leading brand in the market against a backdrop of stiff competition from various successfully established MNC brands.

Over the years, in his relentless pursuit of excellence, he has strengthened the culture of innovation at Intex, explored new markets and extended the brand's product portfolio and global reach. His persistence and profound market insights have enabled Intex Technologies to reach the pinnacle as a leading player in the mobile handset and consumer durables market. Intex has witnessed exponential growth in the last few years.

Intex Technologies set up its first manufacturing plant in Jammu in the year 2004. From a single manufacturing unit, today Intex has three manufacturing units across Jammu & Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

Narendra Bansal in 2016 has been awarded with some of the prestigious honors. He has recently been awarded for 'Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Industry' by industry body CEAMA. Earlier, he was awarded by PHD Chamber of Commerce with the 'Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award', honored by Times Now with 'Extraordinaire Award' for Brand Intex, 'Empresario Most Inspiring Entrepreneur Award 2016' by the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) and the prestigious 'Udyog Ratan Award' conferred by Institute of Economic Studies (IES).

In the year 2012, Narendra Bansal was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Cell IT Magazine for his immense contribution towards furthering the IT industry in India. In 2013, Digital Terminal magazine also conferred Lifetime Achievement Award upon him.

Under his leadership, Intex has received various awards from prominent industry bodies and forums for being a torchbearer of the IT industry. He is a chartered member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and participates actively in various clubs including the Rotary Club.

Intex has been quite active in fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities. Some of the major CSR activities by Intex in 2016 include partnership with Gyan Shakti Vidyalaya for the educational and social upliftment of the underprivileged children, partnership with Jaya Foundation to support children fighting Cancer through a fundraising program - Nanhee in Mumbai and collaboration with Snapdeal in supporting the cause for underprivileged children as part of 'Joy of Giving Week' where 50,000 stationary kits were distributed.

Narendra Bansal diligently practices yoga and meditation, which he believes are helpful in striking a judicious balance between business, family, friends, health and spirituality. He is also a humble initiator of several philanthropic and charitable endeavors.

    Giving a remarkable course to the consumer durables and smartphone industry in India, Intex Technologies has witnessed exponential growth in the last two years under his leadership. In this short span, the company has emerged amongst the top technology companies in India and is now the No. 1 Indian mobile handset brand.

    Keshav was also the youngest owner of an Indian Premier League (IPL) team - Gujarat Lions. He had successfully bid for the Rajkot IPL team in December 2015, rechristened as Gujarat Lions and with this, has entered into the big league of global sports.

    As Director of Marketing, he has focused on building the brand centered on the consumer through active engagement, feedback and ensuring strong reach across the country. He implemented several innovative marketing ideas and was able to catapult Intex as a preferred consumer electronics brand. He built a strong aspirational connect by bringing on board leading actors as brand ambassadors including Farhan Akhtar, Mahesh Babu, Suriya and Sudeep for Mobiles segment and Bollywood legend Madhuri Dixit for Refrigerators and Washing Machines in the Consumer Durables business. He has also been instrumental in getting leading cricketer Suresh Raina as the brand ambassador for Speakers.

    Keshav Bansal in 2016 has been bestowed with many prestigious awards. He has recently been honored by Smile Studio with the 'Dynamic Entrepreneur Award' and the Extraordinaire Award for being a 'Young Dynamic Leader' by Times Now. He had earlier received the GQ Most Influential Men award and Atal Samman Award for 'Young Entrepreneur' at the Mithila Samman organized by The Hind Post media. He has also received the 'Leadership Award for Business Excellence' by Amity University and also received the 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013' award by NCN Magazine for enhancing the brand image of Intex with his dynamism and entrepreneurial streak.

    Under his able leadership, Brand Intex has received a number of awards like the 'Fastest Growing Brand in India in Telecom Sector' at the World Brands Summit, a part of the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Indo-UAE Global Investment Summit 2016, 'India's Most Trusted Brand Award 2016' by IBC Infomedia (A Division of International Brand Consultation Corporation, USA) and with 'Extraordinaire Award' conferred upon Brand Intex by Times Now.

    Keshav Bansal has also been a keen speaker and inspired myriad students of Delhi University at Hansraj College's, Nirma University at Ahmedabad, Amity University and IILM, Delhi with his aspiring entrepreneurial journey.

    Keshav has a business degree from the Manchester Business School. An advocate of physical fitness, he plays squash, table tennis, cricket and football. He also enjoys swimming, horse riding and adventure sports like skydiving & scuba diving. He believes that his passion towards fitness helps him operate at his best level at all times.

    Ramesh A. Vaswani, Director and Sr. Advisor - Corporate Affairs, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd., New Delhi has been associated with the Company since January 2002. He retired in August 2012 from the whole-time position of Executive Vice-Chairman and has since continued as a Board member.

    He played an active role in restructuring the Company across all functions, for sustained growth. He also developed three manufacturing facilities in Jammu and Baddi. The first factory in Jammu was set up in 2003. A Centre for Design and Development was also established and Corporate Governance best practices introduced.

    Ramesh Vaswani has worked for over five decades across multiple geographies and various industries including chemicals, refrigeration, diesel pump-sets, automotive components, plastics packaging films, consumer durables and IT software/hardware. He has had a special focus on evolution of systems for management control/review and strong HR processes, including training and development.

    He served as Vice-Chairman of Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Northern Region) and contributed actively to various Committees of industry bodies like CII, Indian Cellular Association and Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT).

    Currently, he is a member of two national committees of CII - ICTE hardware manufacturing and Telecom & Broadband, FICCI Committee for Electronics & White Goods, NABET Committee for Skills Training & Accreditation and a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). He serves on the Board of two companies.

    Vaswani is a Gold Medalist B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras.

    Nidhi Markanday is the Director of one of the fastest growing technology companies in the country, Intex Technologies. In her current role, Nidhi is responsible for driving business strategy and expanding product portfolio of Consumer Durables & IT Peripherals and Mobile vertical. CDIT business includes LED TVs, Washing Machines, Refrigerators Speakers, Power Banks, Headphones etc and Mobile business including Feature Phones & Smart Phones.

    Nidhi joined Intex in 2001 after a two-year stint as a coordinator with a health insurance company, E-Meditek Solutions. With over 16 years of extensive experience in strategic business planning, marketing, sales and channel development, Nidhi has played an integral role in transforming the consumer durables and IT business to a significant revenue driver for the company.

    Having been with Intex for over 15 years, Nidhi is also instrumental in identifying new channel partnerships and strengthening the distribution network. During her career with Intex, she has held various leadership positions including Head Sales Administration, Logistics and Exclusive Stores. Over the years, Nidhi has effectively groomed her team and is able to drive a judicious balance between strategy and deadlines-based execution as a part of her core approach to collaborative and visionary leadership.

    Nidhi has a degree in office management from YMCA. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling to exotic locations, absorbing different cultures and developing sustained relationships with people from different walks of life.

    Atul Jain heads the Finance & Accounts and Legal division at Intex Technologies.

    Atul has been associated with Intex for the past four years and was inducted as a board member in July 2013. In his current role, Atul is responsible for the company's Finance, Tax, Internal Audit and Legal functions across the India region, and is also a Director on the company's Board.

    Atul, who is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, brings with him a vast experience of more than three decades in the industry. He has held leadership positions in blue-chip companies across multiple sectors including textiles, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

    In his spare time, Atul enjoys reading and absorbing the essence of different cultures through his travels.

    Director, Department Manufacturing Operations

    Amitabh Khurana is the Director and heads the manufacturing/industries division at Intex Technologies (I) Ltd. He brings with him 24 years of significant experience in Manufacturing, Quality Control and Commercial, oversees industrial operations at PAN India level.

    He has been playing a pivotal role in the continued growth and aspiration of Intex to becoming the leading manufacturer of mobiles, consumer durable and IT Products in the country. Under his able stewardship, Intex has built-up 5 manufacturing units in Jammu, Baddi in HP and Noida-NCR and is currently in the process of setting up its sixth and the largest unit in Kasna, Greater Noida to empower indigenous manufacturing in line with the Make in India initiative.

    Associated with Intex since 2000, he has earlier worked in Continental Device India Limited, a Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, in Quality Assurance Department. He has assured all quality certifications for all the manufacturing plants and has been working for various JVs with Chinese and Korean Companies of LED TV, Mobile Handsets and Accessories.

    Amitabh is an Electronics Engineer with PGDBA in operations and a Green Belt-Six Sigma. He has undergone various training of ISO 9001, OHSAS, 5S, Kiazen, TPM and TQM. An excellent team leader and mentor with exemplary leadership skills, he is a go-getter and is able to drive his team to achieve goals within tight deadlines.

    He has been playing a pivotal role in the continued growth and aspiration of Intex to becoming the leading manufacturer of consumer durables in the country. Under his able stewardship, Intex has recently introduced Open Cell Manufacturing for LED Panels in Baddi Factory and is also establishing its Washing Machine manufacturing facility in its Noida Factory and thereby complying with Make in India initiative by Govt. of India. Also, it was under his supervision that Intex surpassed Videocon and become No. 1 LED TV manufacturer in India.

    Associated with Intex since 2001, Pawan Kumar started off his career with Satyam Infotech in year 1999 as an Executive (IT Peripherals). After serving 2 years at Satyam InfoTech, Mr. Pawan joined Intex Technologies as a Sr. Executive (IT Peripherals) in year 2001. Owing to his tireless contribution towards the attainment companies assigned task for 16 years, he has now been given the responsibility to head Consumer Durables division at Intex.

    Pawan Kumar hails from District Aurangabad, Bihar. He completed his schooling from Govt. School in Patna and completed his graduation in BA (Pass) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh in 1996. Kumar also completed his MBA in Sales & Marketing in year 2010 from Symbiosis, Pune.
